Joseph Walusimbi lives and works in Kampala, Uganda. He is a self-taught artist and painter, developing his passion for art following the death of his father in 2008. Joseph’s talent was noticed by Joseph Sserwaada, the founder of Agape Community Centre, an orphanage where children of all ages reside in a permanent extended-family environment. Sserwaada provided a studio space to Joseph so he could foster his talent. At Agape, Joseph also helps teach art to the children. Joseph’s work has gained a large following and is now sold internationally. All proceeds of his work help to support the children in the Agape Community Centre.
Joseph’s artwork can be found on Facebook at Jose the African Art Painter.
Carolina Adoption Services has acquired 12 canvases generously donated by Joseph Walusimbi. All proceeds from the sale of the artwork will be donated to Agape House & Agape Babies Home.
