Carolina Adoption Services (CAS) is beginning a child sponsorship program with the Children Welfare Home (CWH) in Nepal. When Rosemary Martin, CAS president, recently visited the home she found many children who were in need of ongoing support. These children are living at CWH because of poverty, death of a parent, homelessness, and a multitude of other family crisis. The boys and girls there have dreams of being sponsored to be able to continue school, have shelter, and a family at CWH.
We asked the children “What do you want from a sponsoring family?”, and here are select answers:
I have no family or guardian, who take care me. I have no home. Sometime I visit my Grandmother, she is very old.—Rabi
I want a family for education, shelter, and a better life for long lasting. –Sarita
I want to be a businessman. I lone can’t reach my aim. I want to study higher classes. Your support will help me to shine my future.—Bhupendra
We also asked them about their dreams:
I want to be a police. –Prasant
I want to be a nurse. –Karishma
Most said they want to study.
These children are asking the world to provide and show that someone cares. If you have questions please contact Rosemary Martin.
