CAS President/CEO, Rosemary Martin, has returned from a successful trip to Nepal. She found the people of Nepal to be very happy and kind; they made a lasting mark on her. During Rosemary’s trip she had the opportunity to visit two orphanages, one of which CAS supports. The Child Welfare Home was found to be very clean and filled with happy, well cared for children. Rosemary also learned while visiting the orphanage that the majority of children in the orphanage were not available for adoption and are in need of ongoing support. With this an opportunity has been presented, CAS is working with the Child Welfare Home to develop a child sponsorship program. CAS will have information soon on the children in need of sponsorship and the commitment involved to provide basic needs and education.
